Instrumental and Drama Soiree , Tuesday 7 May (Week 2 Term 2) 6pm Chapel

I am happy to report that there has been a lot of interest from students wanting to perform at the first Instrumental Soiree of the year, taking place in Week 2 of Term 2. At this time, it is not likely that we can accommodate all the students who wish to perform. We will contact those parents whose children are performing, as well as those who are not, just so there is clarity around this small concert. This should be a wonderful night for all involved.

Sydney Trip to Grease the Musical

A letter will be sent home this week to families of the students travelling to Sydney over the holidays, which will outline all you need to know regarding the trip. Please direct any questions to me, should you have any. The students are really excited about this wonderful opportunity.

Dance Soiree

Last night we held our inaugural Dance Soiree where nearly 20 dancers performed a range of pieces including solos, duets and a trio. It was a small but enthusiastic audience, where Nathan Schubert, our AV tech, worked hard all day to prepare the amazing venue. The range of equipment we have been able to purchase either via the Schools CAPEX program or from money raised by FoPA has been tremendous over the last few years.

Cabaret in the Lane

We are looking forward to our first significant music event of the year, Cabaret in the Lane. If you have not got your tickets, please use this link below to ensure you don’t miss out!

https://events.humanitix.com/cabaret-in-the-lane

We are still seeking donations of bottles of wine, minimum $20 in value, and gourmet food and beauty items for the raffles. Please pass your donations to me or Sophie in the Performing Arts office if you are able to donate. All funds raised go directly back into our Performing Arts programs.

Just a reminder that all students performing in Cabaret in the Lane are dismissed after school as normal, then are expected back to the venue by 6.00pm, with Senior Strings performing at 6.40pm.

Legally Blonde Tickets

As you may be aware, the tickets to this year’s Middle/Senior Musical production, Legally Blonde, are selling incredibly fast! So far, we have sold over 1100 tickets which is remarkable. There will be another release of tickets today, so please keep an eye on the Humanitix link:
