Transport options
As a city-based school, Pulteney Grammar School is centrally located and easily accessible by bus, bike, tram or car.
We recommend using Adelaide Metro’s Journey Planner or My Next Service to plan your journey and access real time information on public transport. Travel within the city is free on the tram or city connector bus.
Kiss and Go zones
Our Junior School has two ‘Kiss and Go’ zones, located at the School’s Gilles Street entrance and Symonds Place entrance, respectively.
These zones are operational from 8.15am to 8.35am, Monday to Friday and at this stage apply for morning drop off only. The Kiss and Go is manned by staff on duty, who will assist students to enter the School.
Children must exit your vehicle using the door on the left-hand side of the car, adjacent to the footpath. It would be appreciated if parents could move off from the Kiss and Go zone as soon as their child has exited the car and is safely in the care of a Pulteney Grammar staff member.
Parents and caregivers are asked to consider the following as the Kiss and Go zone is introduced:
- Be considerate and pull into the drop-off zone as far along as possible.
- Ensure that students have their bag accessible to avoid delays.
- Make sure children use the door on the footpath side of the car when getting in and out of the car.
- The Kiss and Go zone is a ‘No Parking” area.
- Use caution if you do need to get out of the car (drivers should always remain within 2m walking distance to their vehicle). Parents/students needing to access the boot should be considerate at all times.
- Follow directions of staff members who will be on duty to ensure the safety of all.
- Please be respectful of other drivers, children and staff members.
Please note that the drop off procedure for students in the Mid-Year Reception class and ELC children will remain a physical drop off by parents, and therefore these students cannot be dropped off at the ‘Kiss and Go’. ELC families are required to use the Xplor application process at the classroom door when dropping off and collecting their child.
