What will be in the course?

In Stage 1 Business Innovation, students develop the skills and knowledge to understand modern business and the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Students are immersed in the Lean Startup process and apply other entrepreneurial tools to find meaningful business problems and create viable solutions to these problems. Students have the option to explore modern business through the lens of their own entrepreneurial endeavours or by analysing and improving existing businesses. Students are expected to discover and apply business intelligence to support their business recommendations. Students will have the opportunity to learn in a ‘gamified’ manner, through business simulations and other ‘activity-based’ approaches. Students are expected to develop their collaboration skills through group work and confidence in communicating with external parties, such as business owners within the Pulteney community.

School Assessment (100%)

 

In each semester, students provide evidence of their learning through four assessments. Each assessment should have a weighting of at least 20%.

 

Students undertake:
