one ninety, Term 4 Week 7

Congratulations to our Year 9 and 10 Boys’ Cricketers who came second overall in the state-wide competition. An incredible achievement as our cricket program goes from strength to strength.

On Thursday of Week 8, the 2023 Forum of Prefects and House Captains will host a ‘moving up’ morning for the Year 9s before their final Middle School Assembly.

The student leaders will share information on daily routines and expectations, helpful hints for life in the Senior School such as how to stay organised, balancing schoolwork and co curricula with the rest of life, and how to get the most out of the senior years. At the conclusion of their presentation students will break out into House groups in what will be their 2023 Year 10 tutor rooms for a small group Q&A session, again hosted by the student leaders.

Speech Night Thursday 1 December

We look forward to our annual awards evening Thursday this week. This is always a highlight on the Pulteney calendar. It has been many years since we have hosted Speech Night ‘proper’ and we are thrilled to be back at the Adelaide Convention Centre with full capacity.

Attendance at Speech Night is compulsory for all Year 10, 11 and 12 students. Students are expected to attend in full Winter Formal Uniform (Tie and blazer).

Students will need to arrive at the Convention Centre by 6.15pm for roll call with their Heads of House, before moving to Hall F to be seated with their Tutors.

Awards winners have been communicated with directly with information regarding rehearsals and tickets for parents.

End of Year Arrangements

Please note the changes previously communicated to the Year 10 schedule prioritising more time in class for learning and the consolidation of summative assessments with the removal of exams for this year level.

Year 10 parents have received a letter with specific details, consent and dietary information for the Sprout Program last week. If you have not yet provided consent and dietary details for your child, we ask that you do this as soon as possible.

Students who have an unavoidable clash between an exam and another sanctioned School event (Speech Night rehearsal for award winners and the Interstate Volleyball Trip) need to please see Ms Baker this week to arrange an alternate time.
