Junior School, Term 4 Week 8

Anglicare Christmas Nature Market

Students are to be congratulated for all their preparation in the lead up to the Anglicare Christmas Market to be held on Wednesday 7 December from 8.30am – 9.15 am on the Year 3-6 basketball court.

All classes have designed and made some very creative items to sell on the day as part of their Term 4 Enterprise program and I have no doubt students will enjoy the morning.

Students have also been invited to design and construct at home in the lead up to the market by making, growing and creating items to sell. The focus has been on using recyclable material where possible and healthy, low sugar recipes for any food prepared. Parents are asked to provide recipes with any food sent in to school to sell to enable staff to assist students with allergies as they purchase items.

It is suggested that students bring up to $10.00 in a purse or wallet to spend at the market (and coins would be preferred over notes if at all possible).

Parents are most welcome to attend the market on Wednesday morning as we raise money for Anglicare in the lead up to Christmas.

Year 2 Celebration

Today we celebrated as our Year 2 students graduated and we look forward to welcoming them to Year 3 next year.

Year 6 Celebration

Parents of students in Year 6 are invited to a special service to be held on Thursday 8 December at 8.45 am in the Robert Henshall Sports Centre during which we will celebrate the Year 6 students as they move to Middle School in 2023.

Reception – Year 4 Christmas Concert

The Reception – Year 4 Christmas Concert will be held in the Robert Henshall Sports Centre on Thursday 8th December at 6.00pm. The 2022 concert will involve all children from Reception to Year 4, with the performance themed ‘Lights, Camel, Action’. Parents are asked to accompany students to their classroom at 5.30pm on Thursday before making their way to the Sports Centre.

I would take to take this opportunity to wish all students, staff and parents the best for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
