Senior School, Term 2 Week 4 2026

Now that we are into the fourth week of the term, our students are in the rhythm of School life and making the most of the opportunities available to them. It is always pleasing to see Senior School students taking advantage of the many meaningful and useful experiences available at Pulteney.

Wednesday 13 May: Careers Breakfast

As a reminder, the Careers Breakfast will take place on Wednesday 13 May, providing another valuable opportunity for students to engage with professionals from a wide range of industries and career pathways. We encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions, make connections and gain insights into future study and employment options.

We are incredibly grateful to the many parents, Old Scholars and members of the wider Pulteney community who generously give their time as mentors for this event. The willingness of our community to share experiences, advice and encouragement plays an important role in helping students explore possibilities beyond school and make informed decisions about their futures. Thank you to everyone who contributes so positively to these programs and opportunities and special thanks to Ms Johnston-Bryan for organising this important event.

Thursday 4 June: Year 12 Halfway Day Celebration

Thank you to parents and students who have RSVP’d to attend this event. The Year 12 journey is a special milestone for students, teachers, parents, and caregivers alike. In recognition of this important phase, we are delighted to invite you to a “halfway” celebration. This social event will provide an opportunity for you and your child to connect with teachers and other Year 12 parents as we celebrate this unique journey together.

Please find below an invitation with a LINK to RSVP for catering purposes.

Tuesday 2 June 2026: The 2027 Year 10-12 Senior Subject Showcase

The Senior Subject Showcase, held from 5.30pm, is designed to assist students in making thoughtful and informed choices in designing their study pathway to further their passions.

Current Year 9, 10 and 11 students and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend the evening as it will assist in making well-considered choices for future study.

Further information about the 2027 Subject Selection Process can be found HERE.

National Reconciliation Week at Pulteney – Week 7

As part of National Reconciliation Week, students from ELC to Year 12 will contribute to a whole-school paper chain project symbolising our shared commitment to reconciliation. Each class will create a link using the colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, with students adding their name or a message of reflection.

Badge making will also take place in the Quad during recess and lunch on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 June, with a gold coin donation available for those who wish to contribute.

Key events include:

• Senior School Assembly – Tuesday 2 June, 8.45am (special guest speaker)
• Middle School Assembly – Thursday 4 June, 8.45am
• Junior School Chapel Service – Friday 5 June (paper chain display and celebration)

We look forward to coming together as a community to take part in this important week.

Timing of Activities

Please note that while National Reconciliation Week officially begins earlier through Reconciliation Australia, Pulteney’s whole-school activities will commence from Monday 1 June. This timing allows our community to fully engage in both Founders’ Day and the School Musical Production in Week 6.

A big congratulations to our talented performers who brought great energy to last week’s Friday morning at the Laneway Cafe. We’re excited to enjoy more fantastic performances this week, along with delicious coffee served by our Creative Industries students. I hope to see you there.
