Director of Teaching and Learning, 2027 Subject Selection Process

As we begin planning for the 2027 academic year, we would like to inform families that the subject selection process will commence in June for student moving into Years 10-12, and in August for students moving into Years 7-9.

Senior Subject Showcase

Tuesday 2 June, 5:30pm-8:00pm, in the Centre for Senior Learning.

This event is for students moving into Years 10–12 in 2027. It provides an important opportunity to explore subject options and pathways for the senior years.

The evening will include a presentation from our SACE Coordinator, Michelle Richards, and Futures Coordinator, Leeanne Johnson-Bryan. They will provide valuable information about achieving the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), including SACE credits, compulsory Stage 1 and Stage 2 requirements, as well as pathways such as VET (Vocational Education and Training) and UEPs (University Extension Programs). In addition, teachers from each subject area and members of the Inclusive Education team will be available to speak with students and families, answering specific questions about subjects, electives, pathways, and opportunities such as acceleration pathways

Subject Information Evenings for Middle School 2027

For families of younger students, Subject Information Evenings for those moving into Years 7–9 will be held in Term 3. These sessions will provide guidance and support as students begin to consider their subject choices for the middle years.

We encourage families to engage with this process as an important step in supporting students on their personalised learning journey. More information will be provided closer to the date.
