Performing Arts, Term 4 Week 8
Term 4
Week 8 Thursday 5 December, Kurrajong Christmas Concert, Robert Henshall Gym, 2.00pm
Special Thanks to all Parents
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all: the parents of our dancers, musicians, and actors, for bringing them early to school and collecting them late, and supporting and encouraging them all to be their best self! We will have done 79 live performances by Friday this week, which, believe it or not this is a little down on the number we normally do!
I look forward to all the exciting events of 2025.
Urinetown Update
The contract of agreement for all cast members will go home in an email tomorrow. Please look through this document, and if you have any questions, please let me know. Otherwise, please complete the MS Form via the link provided within the email, and we will be off and running for Week 0, Term 1 2025.
Carols in the Quad
What a huge success this year’s Carols in the Quad was! Sadly, we had to move the event into the Gym, but when the rain came down we were all so grateful for doing so.
We had over 500 adults plus the 220 performing students in attendance. Special thanks to Annie Kwok for organising this huge event as well, as Michelle McGill, Narelle Steffan, Nathan Schubert and all the many others involved. A big thanks goes to the Parents and Friends (P&F) and Friends of Performing Arts (FoPA) for all their work for this event.
It was a wonderful evening of carols and great choirs singing.
Coffee in the Quad
Come along and enjoy the music this Friday, at 7.50 – 8.20am for our final Coffee in the Quad for 2024. We have Jeff the barista with cakes and the Year 9 Class Band performing. See you there!
Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 – Christmas Celebration – ‘It’s A Miracle’.
Week 8 – Thursday 5 December, 2.00pm
We are only two sleeps away away from the annual year R-2 Christmas Concert in the Robert Henshall Gym. If you have not yet got your tickets, please do so here. While the tickets are free, it is a great help to know how many people are planning on attending this wonderful event.

Speech Night 2024 Thursday 28 November 9am and 6pm
I was so proud of the way our musicians and dancers went about this year’s Speech Night. They all danced, played, and sang brilliantly. It was also great for our new Principal to see and hear us play. Bring on 2025!
Co-curricular Announcement
If you have not yet organised musical 1:1 lessons for your child in 2025, please do so via the school website parent portal as soon as you can. Next week I need to plan how many tutors I need for 2025 and this planning must happen now. If you need advice or information, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email.
Have a great Christmas and a safe new year.
