Middle School, Term 2 Week 6 2026

As we move through the middle of Term 2, our Middle School community continues to engage in a range of learning, wellbeing and community experiences that reflect the values and spirit of a Pulteney education.

This Friday, our school community will gather for the annual Founders’ Day Service, an important occasion that invites us to reflect on the rich history, traditions and relationships that continue to shape our School. It is a meaningful opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of students, staff and families, past and present, while also celebrating the strong sense of belonging and connection that defines our community today. Founders’ Day reminds us not only of where we have come from, but also of the collective responsibility we share in shaping the future of Pulteney.

Throughout Term 2, our Middle School assemblies and ACTivate wellbeing programs have continued to explore themes connected to reconciliation, respectful relationships, belonging and the importance of strong communities. These conversations encourage students to listen with empathy, value diverse perspectives and recognise the strength that comes through collaboration and shared purpose. Through these experiences, students are developing a deeper understanding of how positive relationships and collective responsibility contribute to a connected and inclusive community.

Across the Middle School, students continue to engage positively with their learning and academic growth. Through quality thinking routines, feedback practices and deliberate learning habits, students are being encouraged to challenge themselves, think deeply and build increasing independence as learners. Our ongoing focus remains on supporting students to develop confidence, resilience and learner agency as they navigate both challenge and success throughout their learning journey.

We also extend our congratulations and best wishes to the cast, crew and staff involved in this year’s Secondary School production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The commitment, creativity and energy demonstrated throughout rehearsals have been outstanding, and we look forward to celebrating the talent and dedication of all students involved as the production takes to the stage this week.

National Reconciliation Week at Pulteney – Week 7

As part of National Reconciliation Week, students from ELC to Year 12 will contribute to a whole-school paper chain project symbolising our shared commitment to reconciliation. Each class will create a link using the colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, with students adding their name or a message of reflection.

Badge making will also take place in the Quad during recess and lunch on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 June, with a gold coin donation available for those who wish to contribute.

Key events include:

• Senior School Assembly – Tuesday 2 June, 8.45am (special guest speaker)
• Middle School Assembly – Thursday 4 June, 8.45am
• Junior School Chapel Service – Friday 5 June (paper chain display and celebration)

We look forward to coming together as a community to take part in this important week.

Timing of Activities

Please note that while National Reconciliation Week officially begins earlier through Reconciliation Australia, Pulteney’s whole-school activities will commence from Monday 1 June. This timing allows our community to fully engage in both Founders’ Day and the School Musical Production in Week 6.
