Year 5
Welcome to Year 5, 2026
We are looking forward to being part of your child’s learning journey this year.
To stay up to date with important information throughout the year, we strongly encourage you to download the Pulteney Parent App and subscribe to Year 5.
Books and Stationery
- Please do not name stationery items
- We kindly ask that you do not cover the exercise books as we have made subject specific covers in class. Having said that, if books have already been covered, we will assist your child in class to add the class cover.
- A large, soft pencil case is recommended to keep all the spare stationery (pens, pencils, erasers and the like), safe until they are needed.
Uniform
- The children are required to wear their PE uniform to school on the following days for PE lessons:
- 5M (Yumpu) Wednesday and Thursday
- 5C (Kuula) Tuesday and Thursday
- Formal uniform is to be worn to school on all other days. Please note – students will need to bring their sports clothes to change into on these days if involved in after school sporting activities.
- Please ensure your child has a named Pulteney play hat. Play hats are required every day at school and must be worn at Recess and Lunch when the UV rating is 3 or above.
Brain food and drink
Please pack a healthy snack/brain food for children to eat in class. This snack could consist of fresh fruit or vegetables, cheese, yoghurt, or dried fruit. No processed food please. Please send a drink bottle containing water for your child to drink during class time. Please note, Pulteney has a water only policy.
Please be aware Pulteney is a nut aware school, so nuts or nut products are not to be brought to school.
Tuck Orders
Tuck orders are available to order through the Qkr! App. Any recess and lunch orders on the Qkr! App website must be submitted by 8.30am on the day.
- Qkr! by MasterCard is a secure payment app for schools and can be downloaded for free from your smart phone’s App store.

Other Helpful Information
- Birthday invitations – Please use addresses located in the ‘Buzz Book’ which can be accessed via the Parents Community Portal link on the Pulteney website to send Birthday invitations to home addresses. Please do not hand out invitations at school as it has the potential to cause upset to those students not invited.
We are very excited for the year ahead and look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks.
Kind regards,
Carla Moffat (5M Yampu) and Dylan Colsey (5C Kuula)
