Welcome to Pulteney, Troy McKinnon

We are delighted to welcome Mr Troy McKinnon as Pulteney Grammar School’s next Deputy Principal, commencing in Term 4 2026.

With more than 25 years of experience in education, including almost a decade as a member of the Executive at Prince Alfred College, Troy brings extensive leadership experience, a strong commitment to student wellbeing and a passion for building authentic relationships across school communities.

Reflecting on his appointment, Troy said that he is genuinely excited to be joining the Pulteney community, and that he is looking forward to getting to know the people who make it such a special place.

“Building authentic relationships and fostering a strong sense of belonging will be at the heart of my work, and I am eager to listen, learn and work alongside students, staff and families,” said Troy.

“What drew me to Pulteney is its strong sense of community, its rich history and its clear commitment to helping every young person flourish. It is a privilege to be joining the School, and I am excited to contribute to the next chapter of its journey,” he added.

Principal Greg Atterton said Troy’s relational leadership, strategic thinking and unwavering commitment to helping young people flourish made him an outstanding appointment for the School.
