Ski Trip
The Senior School students who attended this year’s Pulteney Grammar Ski Trip experienced an unforgettable alpine adventure, beginning with three days of cross-country skiing at Mount Stirling before heading to Falls Creek for downhill skiing and snowboarding. With uncertain snowfall leading up to the trip, there was plenty of anticipation, but the crew was rewarded with fantastic conditions. Falls Creek delivered bluebird skies and excellent snow, providing the perfect backdrop for days of skiing and snowboarding.
Mount Stirling welcomed us with a fresh blanket of white snow for the hike into our campsite, the Cricket Pitch. Although warmer weather turned the snow slushy over the following days, it certainly didn’t dampen the experience. The group successfully summited Mount Stirling, discovering fresh snow at the higher elevations, while making the most of camp life by building snowmen, constructing igloos, and embracing everything the alpine environment had to offer.
A huge thank you to the incredible Senior School Ski Trip crew of 2026 for your enthusiasm, resilience, and positive attitude throughout the week. From challenging weather forecasts to unforgettable mountain moments, this was a ski trip that will be remembered for many years to come.
Middle Venture
During the first week of the holidays, Middle School students headed to the Southern Flinders Ranges for the annual Venture Club Middle Venture. Despite being greeted with wet and wild weather, students embraced the challenging conditions with enthusiasm and resilience, making the camp a memorable experience for all involved.
The Southern Flinders Ranges provided the perfect setting for a week of adventure, with students taking part in a variety of outdoor activities. They explored the Willowie mountain bike trails, challenged themselves rock climbing at Warren Gorge, and hiked to the summit of Dutchman’s Stern.
Throughout the week, students demonstrated outstanding teamwork, perseverance, and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Whether encouraging one another on the trails, tackling new challenges, or working together around camp, they displayed the core values of Venture Club.
