Valedictory 2026

We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the Class of 2026 as they mark the conclusion of their journey at Pulteney Grammar School.

Valedictory Day, Friday 23 October 2026

Valedictory Day is a cherished Pulteney tradition, bringing together students, families and our wider School community to reflect on their journey, celebrate their achievements and farewell our graduating Year 12 students.

Families are invited to attend the Valedictory Service and Morning Tea, and we are delighted to extend this invitation to grandparents and other family members who may wish to share in this special occasion.

Valedictory Order of the Day

7.30am Special Valedictory Breakfast for Year 12 students on the Quad Deck.
8.30am – 9.30am School Assembly in Robert Henshall Sports Centre (students).
10.30am Morning Tea with families in Sam Leaker Courtyard.
11.15am Parents assemble in the Quadrangle for the Valedictory Service entrance (Guard of Honour).
11.25am Guard of Honour.
11.40am Valedictory Service in the Robert Henshall Sports Centre (parents and families welcome).
1.00pm Approximate conclusion and dismissal.

Student Dress Code: Please note that students are required to wear their full Senior School formal uniform, including a blazer and Year 12 tie. Please note that students wearing Year 12 jumpers will not be permitted to participate in the ceremonies.

Valedictory Drinks & Student Valedictory Dinner

All Year 12 students and their families are warmly invited to join us for complimentary pre-dinner drinks in the Sam Leaker Courtyard from 5.00pm, hosted by the Pulteney Parents and Friends Association.

Following the drinks, Year 12 students and staff will continue the celebrations at the Valedictory Dinner, held at the Adelaide Pavilion Function Centre (corner of South Terrace and Peacock Road). This year’s guest speaker will be Old Scholar Dr Vinay Athreya (‘12).

The cost of the Valedictory Dinner is $120 per student, which will be charged to the Term 4 School Account. This includes a three-course meal and soft drinks.

Valedictory Evening Schedule

5.00pm Students, parents and staff are invited to drinks in Sam Leaker Courtyard.
5.40pm Students assemble on the lawns of Allan Wheaton House for a cohort photo.
5.50pm Students escorted by foot to the Adelaide Pavilion by Pulteney staff.
10.00pm Conclusion and dismissal from the Adelaide Pavilion. Students are expected to go directly home after the event.

Student Dress Code: Full Senior School formal uniform and Old Scholar tie.

Valedictory Parent Celebration

While your child enjoys their Valedictory Dinner, Year 12 parents are invited to continue the celebrations together at a special Valedictory Parent Celebration on the 175th Anniversary Quadrangle Deck at Pulteney.

Hosted by the Pulteney Parents and Friends Association, the evening will provide a wonderful opportunity for parents to come together, connect and celebrate this significant milestone in their children’s Pulteney journey.

Further details and a separate invitation to the Valedictory Parent Celebration will be shared with Year 12 parents shortly.

We look forward to hosting you and to celebrating this milestone with you and our graduating Pulteney students.
