Certificate III in Sports Coaching
The Year 10 Certificate III in Sports Coaching course will be a course undertaken in Semester 2 of the school year. It is conducted in partnership with the Australian College of Sport, delivered on-site by Pulteney Grammar School teaching staff The course enables students to complete a Certificate III in Sport Coaching while embedded within the school timetable. The subject addresses the increasing interest in sport-related career pathways, provides real-world learning opportunities, and removes the need for students to be off-site for VET study. It fosters leadership, communication, and organisation skills, while aligning with Pulteney’s commitment to purposeful learning, personal excellence, and student wellbeing.

- Plan and deliver coaching sessions across different sports and age groups

Assessment
Assessment is competency-based and includes:
- Practical demonstration of coaching in school and community settings
- Logbooks and journals documenting coaching experience
- First Aid certification
- Written tasks and reflections aligned with AQF Level 3 standards
