Senior Girls
PGS vs Pembroke – Match abandoned due to weather.
The Pulteney girls put on a strong display in the last game of the season, before a thunderstorm spoilt the party and stopped the match. With it being our Year 12’s last ever game, Lucy Allen and Addison Ritossa made the most of opening the innings, both scoring 10 with Addison being retired. Tilly Boucher and Irene Adak were looking very comfortable in the middle when the rain came. We were poised for a very competitive score and we were looking forward to unleashing Lucy Allen one last time.
Our thanks go to our Year 12 students – Addison Ritossa, Giselle Moore, Samara Zhang and Lucy Allen for their wonderful services to cricket over the years. The girls have created a culture of inclusivity, kindness and support, which has helped the younger students feel welcomed and valued.
I would like to acknowledge Lucy Allen in particular for her amazing contributions since all the way back in Year 7 when she joined the team. Lucy has been a wonderful performer for Pulteney over the years. We will miss her talent, leadership, humility and sense of community and wish her well as she continues her cricket career.

Second XI
Pulteney 9/89 (Harrison Rees 15n.o, Oli Durkin 13, Henry Pembshaw 13, Sam Champion 12) defeated Sacred Heart 42 (Lachlan Hall 4/13)
Pulteney recovered well from 3/9 and 6/41 to achieve a respectable score of 89 following impressive innings from Oli Durkin, Henry Pembshaw and Sam Champion with valuable lower order support from Harrison Rees and Cooper Donald. Accurate bowling, notably from Lachlan Hall, assisted by some superb catching, run outs and general ground fielding enabled us to achieve a very comfortable victory. A wonderful way to end a very enjoyable season!

First XI
Pulteney 6/147 (Josh Allen 41, Tus Dimas 23)
defeated
St. Ignatius 71 all out (Tus Dimas 2/0, Angus Glasson 2/18)
The 1st XI sent off our departing Year 12s in style with a great win over St. Ignatius.
Sent in on a wet deck, openers Allen and Dimas got us off to a fantastic start, with a 71-run opening partnership. Contributions from Will Arbon and Freddy Hawkes in the middle order then helped us to a total of 147.
Bowling duties were shared around liberally, and everyone pitched in. Three run outs and a couple of great catches helped to restrict St. Ignatius to 71, securing the positive win:loss ratio for the term which had been our focus for the last two weeks.
Congratulations and thank you to Tus Dimas, Freddy Hawkes, Will Arbon, Sam Pryce, and Zach Parish on their fantastic contributions to cricket at Pulteney. With all five boys playing Old Scholars cricket that afternoon is a testament to the strength of the cricketing community at Pulteney.

Come and Try Rowing
Many students took the opportunity to try out the rowing machines (ergos) on display during Transition Day last Friday. With several students returning for a second go, it was clear that interest in rowing is stronger than ever.
Students who would like to Come and Try rowing are warmly invited to join one of our sessions in Weeks 7 and 8 alongside the current squad. To learn more, simply speak with any of our rowers — they will be more than happy to guide you down to the Pulteney Boathouse and introduce you to the sport.
