Sport: Junior School, Term 3 Week 8 2026

A huge congratulations to all our Winter Sport award winners, whose commitment, effort and sportsmanship throughout the season were recognised at Junior Winter Sport assembly last week. I would also like to thank all the families that attended to celebrate the achievements of our students. It has been fantastic to see Summer Sport pre-season get underway this week, with students quickly getting back into their favourite summer sports. With the sun shining and plenty of enthusiasm across our courts and fields, we are looking forward to a short but fruitful Term 4 summer season.

Uniform guide

Please refer to the Junior School cocurricular sport uniform guide for information about the 2026 uniform requirements for co-curricular sport. Please ensure your child has the correct uniform and protective equipment for their chosen sport(s).

Key dates for Junior School Sport / PE

Term 3
Week 8 & 9 – Year 3-6 Summer Sport preseason trainings
Week 9 – All Junior Sport concludes

To ensure all students are safe and accounted for at the conclusion of each training session, please collect students from the designated areas rather than their actual training location.
Reception: Kurrajong under croft at 4.30pm
Year 1 and 2: Kurrajong play yard at 4.45pm
Year 3 – 6: Prep basketball court at 4.45pm

If you do need to collect your child directly from a training session, please communicate this with me prior to the training.

SAPSASA / Statewide Schools (Year 4 – 6):
Please see below some of the key dates for SAPSASA this term. Families of students selected for listed events will be notified by email and receive further information at this time.

Term 3:
Week 8 – East Adelaide Cricket Trials
Week 9 – SAPSASA State Hockey Carnival (Wednesday 16 – Friday 18 September)

Term 4
Week 2: Statewide Basketball Finals (Thurs 22 October)

12 years and under State Team trials

If you child is interested in trialling for a 12 and Under State Team in their chosen sport, please visit the SA School Sport website to find more information. Nominations and trials are done externally and are not school based activities.
