Sport: Junior School, Term 2 Week 8 2026
Uniform guide:
Please refer to the Junior School cocurricular sport uniform guide for information about the 2026 uniform requirements for co-curricular sport. Please ensure your child has the correct uniform for their chosen sport(s).
Student collection:
To ensure all students are safe and accounted for at the conclusion of each training session, please collect students from the designated areas rather than their actual training location.
Year 1 and 2: Kurrajong play yard at 4.45pm
Year 3 – 6: Prep basketball court at 4.45pm
If you do need to collect your child directly from a training session, please communicate this with me prior to the training.
Key dates for Junior School Sport / PE:
Term 2:
Week 9 – All Junior Sport concludes
Term 3:
Week 1 – All Junior Sport begins
Week 5 – Final week of all Year 3-6 Sport (excluding Athletics and Martial Arts)
Week 7 – Junior Sport Assembly (Friday 4 September)
Week 8 & 9 – Year 3-6 Summer Sport preseason trainings
Week 9 – All Junior Sport concludes
SAPSASA / Statewide Schools (Year 4 – 6):
Please see below some of the key dates for SAPSASA this term. Families of students selected for listed events will be notified by email and receive further information at this time.
Term 2:
Week 8 – East Adelaide Soccer Trials (information has been sent to families of selected students)
Week 9 – Statewide Schools Boys Netball matches, Tuesday 16 June (information has been sent to families of selected students)
– Girls State Netball Carnival (17 – 19 June)
Week 10 – Statewide Schools Girls Netball matches. Wednesday 24 June (information has been sent to families of selected students)
– Boys State Netball Carnival (22 – 24 June)
Congratulations
Congratulations to Millie V (Y6) who represented East Adelaide at the State Cross Country Championships this week. Millie finished an impressive 21st overall and the team won gold. What a wonderful achievement.
12 years and under State Team trials
If you child is interested in trialling for a 12 and Under State Team in their chosen sport, please visit the SA School Sport website to find more information. Nominations and trials are done externally and are not school based activities.
Stage 1 qualifying for the SA 12&U School Golf is coming up – please contact me if you would like more details.
Interschools Snowsport Championships are coming up in the Term 2 holidays. If your child is interested in competing in the snow sport championships (held at Falls Creek) please contact me for more details.
