Senior School, Term 3 Week 1 2025
A warm welcome to Semester 2 at Pulteney Grammar School. I trust the past few weeks have provided you with a chance to step away from the usual routines and enjoy some well-deserved rest and family time.
It was wonderful to see the School come alive again today, with students reconnecting with peers and staff. There was a genuine buzz of energy around the campus, and the sense of community was both strong and uplifting—an encouraging sign as we enter the second half of the school year.
I continue to be inspired by the breadth of opportunities available to our students and the way they embrace them with skill and enthusiasm. At our assembly today, we celebrated the achievements of students who have made exceptional contributions across several areas, including Performing Arts, Languages, the Conservation Corps, and Outdoor Education.
As always, Term 3 promises to be dynamic and full of activity. The academic and co-curricular program is in full motion, with a rich calendar of fixtures, performances, and events ahead. One event I’m particularly looking forward to is the Year 12 Drama production, We Live by the Sea, running from Thursday 4 to Saturday 6 September. The students involved have dedicated an enormous amount of effort to the performance, and I know it will be a highlight of the term.
This Thursday evening, 24 July Senior Secondary Subject Showcase will take place. The event will provide students and families with the opportunity to explore the subject offerings for Years 10, 11 and 12 in 2026. The showcase is designed in an expo format and aims to bring the curriculum to life.
The schedule of the evening, along with a map of the showcase can be found HERE. Students are to wear formal uniform including their blazer.
Year 12 Tertiary Information Evening – 7pm, Wednesday 30 July
On Wednesday 30 July, Year 12 students and their parents are invited to attend an information evening, which will begin at 7pm in Wyatt Hall. Throughout the night, there will be guest speakers from Flinders University, Adelaide University and TAFESA, to provide information to the students to assist them to make their final decisions about their post-schooling options.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
