Senior School, Term 2 Week 9 2026
There is a strong sense of purpose and positivity across the Senior School at present. Students are engaging well in their learning, taking pride in their presentation, and contributing positively to our community.
During a number of recent school tours, visitors have consistently commented on the respectful and engaged manner of our students, as well as the pride evident throughout the campus. Thank you to all students for the role they play in creating such a positive impression.
As we move into the final weeks of term, many students are completing assessment tasks and examinations. If students have any questions or require clarification, they are encouraged to speak with their teachers, who are always available to provide support and guidance.
Friday 12 June & Saturday 13 June: Winter Cabaret and Music Festival
On Friday 12 June, our community gathered for the Winter Music Cabaret Evening, followed by three outstanding concerts as part of the Winter Music Festival on Saturday 13 June.
Across all four performances, students showcased an impressive range of musical talent, dedication, and achievement. From solo performances to large ensemble pieces, each concert reflected the countless hours of practice, perseverance, and passion invested by our students and staff.
These events were a wonderful celebration of the Performing Arts at Pulteney, highlighting the important role that music plays in enriching the life of our School. Beyond the performances themselves, the concerts brought students, families, and staff together, reinforcing the sense of connection and community that is such a valued part of the Pulteney experience.
Congratulations to all students and staff involved in delivering such memorable performances, and thank you to the many families whose support contributes so much to the success of our Performing Arts program.
Tuesday 16 June – Friday 19 June: Year 11 Exam Week
Our Year 11 Exams are in full swing, and students have made a positive start today. A reminder of what is required of students when sitting their exams:
- take note of the location of their examinations
- arrive at least 30mins prior to the start of each examination.
- bring stationery in a clear plastic sleeve, notes (for subjects that allow), laptop (e-exams), laptop charger, calculator and headphones (wired) for exams with audio components.
- wear formal school uniform.
Monday 22 June – Friday 26 June: Year 11 Work Experience
Next week, our Year 11 students will be out in the community taking part in work experience. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to explore the world of work, gain real-life insight into different industries, and consider whether their interests and strengths align with the careers they’re thinking about.
Staff are looking forward to visiting students during the week, seeing how they’re progressing, and speaking with workplace supervisors about the experiences our students are having. It’s always rewarding to hear how Pulteney students are representing the school with maturity, curiosity, and enthusiasm.
Work experience is a key step in helping our young people make informed choices about their futures, and we are grateful to all the businesses and organisations supporting our students.
Friday 19 June: Coffee in The Lane
Join us this Friday morning for Coffee in The Lane. Our students have been developing their barista skills and take great pride in preparing high-quality coffee for members of our community.
Coffee in The Lane provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents and caregivers, enjoy a warm drink, and experience the outstanding work of our students. We would love to see you there and hope you can take a few moments to stop by and say hello.
