Senior School, Term 2 Week 6 2026

Welcome to Week 6. There is much happening in the life of the School, and our students continue to do an excellent job of engaging with the many opportunities available to them.

In the normal busyness of life at Pulteney, it is important that we continue to support students in developing the everyday habits that help them thrive at school. Two areas of ongoing focus are punctuality and wearing the school uniform correctly, including blazers at the beginning and end of the day.

Arriving at school on time helps students begin the day calmly, positively, and ready for learning. It also supports the smooth and efficient running of the School and helps students make the most of the opportunities available to them each day.

Similarly, wearing the uniform with pride contributes to a strong sense of belonging and reflects the care students have for themselves, one another, and the School community. It also communicates a positive message about Pulteney to the broader community.

We appreciate the continued support of parents in helping reinforce these expectations and in working alongside us to support students in these important everyday routines.

Thursday 28 May – Saturday 30 May: School Musical

Best of luck to all students who are involved in the production of  How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. There is great excitement within the community about this performance. Thank you to all staff and parents/caregivers who have contributed to the success of this event. If you have not yet purchased tickets, please know it is not too late! Tickets are still on sale here.

Friday 29 May: Founders’ Day Assembly

Founded in 1847, Pulteney is the oldest school in Adelaide and has a rich and deeply valued history that continues to shape the life of the School today. Our Founders’ Day Assembly this week provides an important opportunity for students to reflect on this history and the values that continue to guide our community. The presence of Old Scholars adds something special to the occasion, reminding students of the strong and lasting connections that exist within the Pulteney community.

The Assembly helps foster a sense of belonging and encourages students to see themselves as part of the ongoing story of the School, with an important role to play in shaping its future. It is also a valuable reminder of the importance of honouring tradition while continuing to contribute positively to the life and growth of the School.

Attendance at the Founders Day Assembly is essential, and students are required to wear full formal uniform, including their blazer.
