Senior School, Term 2 Week 5 2026

As we reach the halfway point of the term, it is encouraging to see our students engaging with life at Pulteney in such a positive and enthusiastic manner. The atmosphere around the School has been vibrant, with students embracing opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

I have also been particularly pleased to receive feedback from members of the public regarding the behaviour and presentation of our students when out in the community. It is wonderful to hear that our students are representing Pulteney with such pride, respect, and integrity.

Thank you to all our students for upholding the values of our School, and to our families for your ongoing support.

Senior Subject Showcase

Tuesday 2 June, 5:30pm-8:00pm, in the Centre for Senior Learning.

This event is for students moving into Years 10–12 in 2027. It provides an important opportunity to explore subject options and pathways for the senior years.

The evening will include a presentation from our SACE Coordinator, Michelle Richards, and Futures Coordinator, Leeanne Johnson-Bryan. They will provide valuable information about achieving the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), including SACE credits, compulsory Stage 1 and Stage 2 requirements, as well as pathways such as VET (Vocational Education and Training) and UEPs (University Extension Programs). In addition, teachers from each subject area and members of the Inclusive Education team will be available to speak with students and families, answering specific questions about subjects, electives, pathways, and opportunities such as acceleration pathways

Friday, Week 5: Coffee in The Lane

Please remember, we would love the opportunity to connect with you personally and warmly invite you to the Laneway Cafe this Friday morning.

Not only is this a wonderful chance for parents and staff to catch up in a relaxed setting, but it also plays an important role in supporting our Year 10 students. As part of their Creative Industries subject, our students are responsible for running this initiative – from managing stock and customer service to collaborating effectively as a team.

This experience equips them with valuable life and workplace skills, fostering confidence, leadership, and a sense of responsibility. It’s always fantastic to see the students take such pride in providing a welcoming environment for our School community.

We hope to see you there. Your support means a great deal to our students.

Thursday 4 June: Year 12 Halfway Day Celebration

Thank you to the many parents and students who have RSVP’d to attend this event. The Year 12 journey is a special milestone for students, teachers, parents, and caregivers alike. In recognition of this important phase, we are delighted to invite you to a “halfway” celebration. This social event will provide an opportunity for you and your child to connect with teachers and other Year 12 parents as we celebrate this unique journey together.

Year 12 students are invited to attend in smart casual attire; uniforms are not required. We encourage both students and parents to attend together to make this a memorable evening for all.

Please find below an invitation with a LINK to RSVP for catering purposes.

National Reconciliation Week at Pulteney – Week 7

As part of National Reconciliation Week, students from ELC to Year 12 will contribute to a whole-school paper chain project symbolising our shared commitment to reconciliation. Each class will create a link using the colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, with students adding their name or a message of reflection.

Badge making will also take place in the Quad during recess and lunch on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 June, with a gold coin donation available for those who wish to contribute.

Key events include:

• Senior School Assembly – Tuesday 2 June, 8.45am (special guest speaker)
• Middle School Assembly – Thursday 4 June, 8.45am
• Junior School Chapel Service – Friday 5 June (paper chain display and celebration)

We look forward to coming together as a community to take part in this important week.

Timing of Activities

Please note that while National Reconciliation Week officially begins earlier through Reconciliation Australia, Pulteney’s whole-school activities will commence from Monday 1 June. This timing allows our community to fully engage in both Founders’ Day and the School Musical Production in Week 6.
