Senior School, Term 2 Week 2 2026

I hope you and your family have settled into Term 2 and are enjoying the rhythm and routine of life a Pulteney.

Saturday 25 April: ANZAC Day

On ANZAC Day our School Prefects attended the Day Dawn Service with Mr Greg Atterton, Rev. Paul Harris and Mr Zac Savage at the Unley Memorial Gardens. Our students shared a reading and laid a wreath to remember those from our community who have served and lost their lives in conflict. Thank you to our students for representing our community with respect and pride on this important day.

Key Term 2 / Winter Uniform Expectations

Expectations are provided below for your convenience. A link to the Uniform Guide is available HERE.

  • Blazers: The formal Pulteney blazer is required for all students from Years 1 to 12 and must be worn to and from School each day in Terms 2 and 3. It is the primary outer garment for formal uniform and is also required for official events, excursions (unless otherwise advised), and assemblies.
  • Presentation and grooming: Shirts must be tucked in, skirts no more than 3cm above or below the knee, and ties neatly tied with the top button fastened. Hair must be neatly presented and tied back if below the collar.
  • Footwear: Classic black school shoes are required. Shoes such as black Nike Air Force 1s or other black sneakers are not permitted with the academic uniform

Please note that students in the Senior School are permitted to wear their “190” uniform as we continue our transition to our new uniform. However, a blazer must always be the outer garment when travelling to and from School.

Thursday 23 April: Rungie Cup Cross Country

It was pleasing to see all students participating in the Cross Country event last week. Some outstanding individual results were achieved and these students can be proud of their efforts. Equally, I was impressed by the students who gave their full effort and did their best to succeed for their House.

Wednesday 6 May: Anglican Cup

Pulteney is hosting the Anglican Cup which is an annual carnival between Pulteney Grammar School, Pedare Christian College, St John’s Grammar and Woodcroft College. The competition includes a range of traditional winter sports, and we are looking forward to seeing our students compete and represent our School. Good luck to all participants.

Thursday 7 May: The South Australia Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) Road Awareness Program

The MFS will be presenting to our Year 11 students in the Robert Henshall Sports Centre. This is a valuable opportunity for our students to receive honest and straightforward messaging designed to help keep them safe on the roads. This program is delivered by the MFS and will focus on:

  • good attitudes, smart decision making and safe behaviours
  • the dangers of excessive speeds, distractions and driving under the influence
  • being a responsible passenger and pedestrian
  • becoming a responsible driver

If you have not completed your consent for this event, please do so ASAP.

Tuesday 2 July 2026: The 2027 Year 10-12 Senior Subject Showcase

The Senior Subject Showcase, held after school, is designed to assist students in making thoughtful and informed choices in designing their study pathway to further their passions.

Current Year 9, 10 and 11 students and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend the evening as it will assist in making well-considered choices for future study.

Further information will be communicated in the coming weeks.

Thursday 4 June: Year 12 Halfway Day Celebration

The Year 12 journey is a special milestone for students, teachers, parents, and caregivers alike. In recognition of this important phase, we are delighted to invite you to a “halfway” celebration. This social event will provide an opportunity for you and your child to connect with teachers and other Year 12 parents as we celebrate this unique journey together.

The Quad Deck will be beautifully transformed with outdoor heaters, lights, and music. However, please dress warmly for the weather. Year 12 students are invited to attend in smart casual attire; uniforms are not required.

We encourage both students and parents to attend together to make this a memorable evening for all.

An invitation with RSVP will be sent to families.
