Senior School, Term 1 Week 8 2026

As we move into Week 8 of Term 1, it has been pleasing to see the term progressing so positively across the Senior School. Students have been engaged in their learning, involved in co-curricular activities, and contributing to the strong sense of community that characterises Pulteney.

With only a few weeks remaining in the term, our focus is on maintaining this momentum and finishing the term strongly. There are a number of exciting events ahead, including our upcoming Summer Intercol, which will provide another opportunity for students to represent the School with pride.

Saturday 14 March: Head of the River

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Head of the River. Our competitors represented Pulteney with great pride, and it was heartening to see so many students attend in support of their fellow rowers. A special acknowledgment goes to the Drum Corps for creating a distinct and vibrant atmosphere at the event.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the parents for their ongoing support of their children’s involvement in rowing this season, as well as for their hard work in ensuring the success of Saturday’s event. It was a pleasure to attend the 2026 Pulteney Head of the River Presentation Dinner along with another 150 students staff and family members and witness the positive and collaborative culture that has been cultivated within our rowing community.

Weeks 9 & 10: Year 10 Camp and AMPx

Our Year 10 students are attending camp in Weeks 9 or 10 this term. This week, our camping students are enjoying Melrose or Glenelg River. Students are also engaged in our AMPx program on their alternate week. The key outcomes of the program centre on engaging in practical and conceptual activities that benefit others whilst developing personal skills in real life situations. We will use Adelaide University and Pulteney as a home base, however, the learning experience will take students into the city to engage with industry and the community. We look forward to having out Year 10 students engage in these learning opportunities in the upcoming weeks.

Wednesday 18 March: Learning Conferences

We look forward to welcoming parents and caregivers to our Learning Conferences tomorrow. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to discuss each student’s progress, address any questions, and strengthen the partnership between home and school that supports both learning and wellbeing.

Saturday 28 March & Wednesday 1 April: Summer Intercol

Following the success of our inaugural Intercol during the Winter season in 2025, we are excited to host our first Summer Intercol with St John’s Grammar later this term. The Winter Intercol was a fantastic occasion that showcased strong school spirit, enthusiastic student participation, and wonderful support from families and the broader community. This year’s Summer Intercol will take place across two days and will feature a range of sports including cricket, touch football, tennis, volleyball, and badminton. We warmly encourage students and families to come along and support our teams as they represent Pulteney with pride and sportsmanship. Further details regarding the arrangements will be shared directly with families.
