Senior School, Term 1 Week 7 2026
I trust you enjoyed the recent long weekend and were able to spend quality time with family and friends. Though brief, we are now ready for a full and purposeful week in the Senior School.
Please see the important updates below:
Thursday 5 March: inter-House Sports Day
Our Inter-House Sports Day was a wonderful display of enthusiasm, effort, and House spirit. Congratulations to all students who competed with passion and contributed positively to our School culture. A special acknowledgement to Moore‑Sunter House for finishing first overall. It was an incredibly close competition that was one of the tightest in over 50 years. Thank you to all parents who came along to support, and to Mr Garrad and the entire staff for ensuring the day ran seamlessly.
Friday 6 March: Adelaide International Women’s Day Breakfast
A group of our Year 12 student leaders attended the Adelaide International Women’s Day Breakfast alongside Principal Mr Greg Atterton and Director of Marketing and Communications Ms Julia Hodge. The annual event celebrates the achievements and leadership of women and the ongoing work towards gender equality. This year, it was hosted by Senator the Hon Penny Wong, with feature speaker Australian of the Year 2026, Katherine Bennell Pegg, the first Australian woman to be officially trained and qualified as an astronaut. The students found the morning both thought-provoking and empowering, and we thank them for representing Pulteney with such pride and enthusiasm.
Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 18 March: Learning Conferences
We look forward to welcoming parents and caregivers to our Learning Conferences. These conversations provide an important opportunity to review student progress, ask questions, and strengthen the home-school partnership that supports personalised learning and wellbeing.
Saturday 14 March: Head of the River
Head of the River is on this Saturday at West Lakes. This is one of the highlights of our co-curricular calendar, and we warmly encourage all students to come along and cheer on our rowers. It’s a wonderful chance to celebrate their hard work, teamwork, and school spirit.
Students attending in a supporter capacity are asked to wear their summer uniform and blazer. We can’t wait to see everyone there and share in the excitement of a fantastic day for our rowing community.
Friday Coffee Mornings on the Quadrangle Deck
Please join us for coffee this Friday morning on the Quadrangle Deck. Our student musicians will be performing, creating a relaxed atmosphere and providing a lovely chance to connect with other parents and staff.
I look forward to seeing you soon
