Road Safety around Pulteney Term 3, Week 2 2026
Road Safety around our School
The safety of students is a shared responsibility, and we ask families for their support in helping to make the roads around Pulteney as safe as possible, particularly during busy drop-off and pick-up times.
We ask all parents and caregivers to follow the road rules at all times and to exercise extra care around the School. Please remember that school zones have a speed limit of 25 km/h whenever children are present, including when they are on the road, footpath or median strip, or riding a bicycle or scooter.
To help keep everyone safe, we also ask families to:
- Observe all parking signs and road rules.
- Refrain from parking across school or neighbouring driveways.
- Avoid double parking and instead use the safer parking options available.
- Be especially mindful of younger children entering and leaving the School via the Kiss and Go areas on Symonds Place and Gilles Street.
Please note that vehicles may only stop in the designated Kiss & Go areas when actively picking up or dropping off children. Drivers must remain with their vehicle and may stop for no longer than two minutes.
Children learn powerful lessons from the adults around them. By modelling patience, courtesy and safe driving practices, we reinforce the importance of personal responsibility, awareness and care for others.
Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us maintain a safe environment for all members of our community.
