How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying – CASTING
Last Friday we released our cast list for next year’s production! The contract of agreement for all performance cast will go home in an email tomorrow. Please look through this document carefully and complete the online MS Form via the link provided in the email.
Our lead cast will meet with the production team next Wednesday 10 December from 1.00-4.00pm in the Music Classroom, Nicholls Building, for a script read-through and to receive guidance on character development from our Creative Director, Jo Casson.
Our first full cast rehearsal will take place on Tuesday 27 January from 1.00-5.00pm in Wyatt Hall.
We can’t wait to see this show come to life! It’s set to be another fantastic production, with tickets going on sale in mid-Term 1, 2026.
2026 Performing Arts Co-Curricular
A reminder that all co-curricular activity nominations for 2026 close at 5.00pm tomorrow (Wednesday 3 December). Please ensure you have selected all co-curricular activities for Term 1, keeping in mind that all Performing Arts activities run for the full year. If you have any concerns or issues, please feel free to contact me.
Some activities already have waitlists. These are important, as circumstances often change and we are then able to move students off the waitlist and into their preferred activities.
Shrek the Musical Jr – Video Link
We hope all Year 5 and 6 Families have enjoyed watching Shrek the Musical Jnr. The photos from the show are also now released via SeeSaw.
Instrumental Music Program for 2026 & Instrument Hire
The link to secure 1:1 instrumental music and drama lessons is now open – click here. Please be aware that some parts of the program do fill quickly, so if you are keen, we encourage you to complete this task as soon as possible. Inevitably, there will be some families who miss out. If you need any assistance, please contact Laura Brougham or me as soon as possible.
If your child is currently hiring a musical instrument and is not planning to continue lessons in 2026, please return the instrument to Laura Brougham (Deputy Principal’s Reception, Nicholls Building) after their final instrumental lesson so they can be returned to our supplier. If we do not return it this term, additional charges will apply for Term 1 2026.
R-4 Christmas Concert 2025
This wonderful event is this Thursday! While the concert is free to attend, tickets will be limited to three per performing child so that everyone in the audience can enjoy a clear view of the stage. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support around this. Tickets can be booked here. Please note that seats are not numbered and access to the venue will be limited to those holding a ticket.
As the concert will take place at 2.00pm, we understand that some parents may find it difficult to attend due to work and other commitments. To ensure everyone can still enjoy the performance, we will be filming the concert and providing a viewing link for families to watch from home. We hope to share this link with parents by early next week.
Speech Night
Thank you to all the students who performed at Speech Night, held at the Convention Centre. We greatly appreciated their contributions through singing, dancing and playing as part of the event’s program. Thank you also to the parents for supporting their participation. Everything ran smoothly, and our Performing Arts students represented the school brilliantly.
Farewell Instrumental Staff: Callum Unger
We sincerely thank Callum Unger for his service to Pulteney Grammar School. Callum has been an important part of our Instrumental Music Program, teaching Bass, and has contributed greatly to our Co-Curricular program through his leadership of the Songwriting Club and Rock Band. We wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.
Safe and Happy Holidays
What an exciting and jam-packed year it has been within the Performing Arts, with countless opportunities, events and performances that have showcased and inspired our students. We sincerely thank you for your ongoing support of our Performing Arts program and the artistic education of our young people.
As this is our final correspondence for the year, I would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Year! We
Jonathon Rice
