Founders’ Day Assembly
This Friday morning, we celebrate the Pulteney Founders Day Service in the Robert Henshall Sports Gym, featuring the Senior Concert Choir and Pulteney String Orchestra.
All members of these two ensembles are required to meet in the Gym at 10.00am for a sound check in preparation for the service, which will commence at 11.00am. All students are required to wear their full winter uniform and blazer.
At the conclusion of the service (approximately 12.00pm), members of the Senior Concert Choir and Pulteney String Orchestra who are involved in the musical production may leave school, provided the school has been notified of these arrangements by parents and caregivers.
We look forward to a wonderful celebration of Pulteney’s rich history and traditions.

Winter Music Festival 2026
We are looking forward to this year’s Winter Music Festival where nearly all of our music ensembles get the chance to perform. This year, we have added a Winter Music Cabaret in Wyatt Hall on Friday 12 June at 6.00pm where the jazz choirs, stage bands and small jazz ensemble will all perform.
Adult tickets cost $10.00 each. Non-performing students are welcome to attend free of charge. Please note that children aged 4 and above will require their own ticket, and we kindly ask that children 3 and under sit on a parent or caregiver’s lap. Performing students do not need a ticket.
Please note that due to ticketing constraints, a separate ticket is required for each concert for those who wish to attend more than one. Seating capacity is also limited across all four concerts, so please note the following arrangements under the concert heading ticket links:
Friday 12 June: Winter Music Cabaret, 6.00pm
– No restrictions to ticket sales
Saturday 13 June: Choral Concert, 3.00pm
– Only 2 tickets per family
– There is a very large number of students performing in this concert and seating capacity is limited. We kindly encourage Junior School parents to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment
– To help ensure that families of our younger performers have the opportunity to secure tickets, we respectfully ask parents of Grammarphones Choir and Senior Concert Choir students to delay purchasing tickets until later in the week. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support in helping us accommodate as many performing families as possible
Saturday 13 June: Junior School Concert, 5.00pm
– 3 tickets per performing student
Saturday 13 June: Middle/Senior School Concert, 7.00pm
– No restrictions to ticket sales
There will be a bar operating in Wyatt Hall for the Winter Music Cabaret on Friday evening, allowing audience members to enjoy a beverage while listening to the jazz performances. On Saturday, the Friends of Performing Arts will provide a bar and BBQ, with sausage in bread, toasted cheese sandwiches and pumpkin soup available. We encourage families to stay and enjoy some food and refreshments between concerts, with the bar and BBQ operating from 4.15pm – 7.00pm.
A special highlight of this year’s festival will be a performance of Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor (1st Movement), featuring Year 11 student Lucas Truong as piano soloist, accompanied by the School Orchestra together with guest Old Scholars and music tutors. This promises to be a very special musical moment and will take place during the 7:00pm concert.

Instrumental Music and Drama Program
Pulteney’s Performing Arts Department offers private tuition for a range of instruments as well as voice and drama lessons.
Applications for this year opened in December 2025 and have been finalised, however students from Reception right through to Year 12 can enrol at any time across the year. If an instrument, type of lesson or teacher is already fully booked, we can place your child on a waiting list until a lesson becomes available.
For more information about our program please click here. If you’re interested in enrolling your son or daughter, please complete the online application form.
