Parent Masterclass: Supporting Students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

This masterclass will help parents and carers understand ADHD and its impact on learning, including executive functioning, attention, working memory, motivation and self-regulation.

The evening includes:

  • 6.00pm – 6.30pm: What is ADHD and How Does it Impact Learning? presented by Chris Clements and Carrie Phillis
  • 6.30pm – 7.00pm: One selected breakout session (choices below)
  • 7.00pm – 7.30pm: A panel discussion and Q&A with all presenters, facilitated by Dr Tessa Opie

Breakout session options:

  • When Little Bodies Need to Move: Understanding Impulsivity, Inattention and Hyperactivity – Presented by Kimberley McMahon, Head of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Meeting the Needs of Gifted and Neurodivergent Students- Presented by Sue Mavropoulos, Head of Teaching and Learning Junior School. Gifted and Talented Coordinator
  • Supporting Students with ADHD across the Junior School (Reception–Year 6) – Presented by: Elise Kinnear, Inclusive Education, Junior School
  • Supporting Students with ADHD across the Middle and Senior School – Presented by: Carrie Phillis, Head of Inclusive Education, Middle and Senior School
