Middle School, Term 3 Week 5 2026
Welcoming our 2027 Year 7 Cohort
This afternoon, we are delighted to welcome more than 120 families to our Middle School as we begin an exciting chapter with our 2027 Year 7 cohort. During this parent-only event, we will explore the routines and structures of the Middle School, our House system, and the pastoral care and wellbeing supports that underpin student success, as well as provide insight into the adolescent learner and the intentional programs designed to support their growth. This event marks an important step in the transition to Middle School and provides families with an opportunity to connect with our community, learn more about the transition and orientation program that will support their child over the remainder of the year, and begin building relationships with other families. We look forward to walking alongside our new students and their families as we begin the Middle School journey together in partnership.
Winter Intercol
There is plenty of excitement across our Secondary School as Winter Intercol begins this afternoon at St John’s and continues on Thursday at Pulteney. Today, our Secondary School will come together for our Intercol Assembly, where students will be introduced to their teams and we will build the energy and spirit ahead of the first competitions. Intercol is always a wonderful opportunity to celebrate participation, teamwork and school pride. We are grateful to all of the students representing Pulteney across the various competitions, as well as the staff, families and friends who will be there supporting and cheering them on. We wish all of our teams the very best for the competitions ahead — Go Navy Blues!
Year 8 AMPout and Outdoor Learning
Our Year 8 students are currently immersed in two important experiences, with Houses participating in either their Outdoor Learning experience or the first rotation of AMPout. Across both programs, students are being challenged to step beyond the everyday classroom, strengthen connections with one another and engage in learning through authentic experiences. Feedback from our teams has been extremely positive, with the programs running smoothly and students engaging enthusiastically in the opportunities presented to them. We look forward to welcoming each group back, hearing their stories and reflections, and seeing the learning and growth that emerges from these experiences as the Houses rotate through both programs.
