Middle School, Term 3 Week 1 2026

Welcome Back to Term 3!

It has been wonderful to welcome our Middle School students and families back following the semester break. I hope everyone enjoyed the opportunity to rest, recharge and spend time together. We look forward to another engaging and rewarding term ahead.

Today, our Year 8 students commenced the Healthy Minds program with their first session. This important program will continue throughout the term, supporting students to develop greater self-awareness, resilience and practical strategies to strengthen their wellbeing.

Preparations for the Year 8 Outdoor Learning program and AMPout experience are also entering their final stages. We look forward to welcoming families to the Year 8 Outdoor Learning Parent Information Session on Wednesday 5 August, where further details will be shared.

Next week, attention turns to the Secondary School Swimming Carnival, which is always a highlight of the school calendar. It promises to be an exciting day of friendly competition, enthusiastic participation and spirited support as students represent their Houses. We look forward to seeing the strong sense of House spirit and community that makes this event so special.

Term 3 promises to offer many opportunities for our students to connect, participate and grow, and we look forward to sharing these experiences with our Middle School community.

Wednesday 29 July: Swimming Carnival

We are looking forward to the Senior School Swimming Carnival on Wednesday of Week 2, Term 3. The carnival is always a highlight of the school calendar, providing students with an opportunity to represent their House, build House spirit, and contribute to the strong sense of community that exists within the Senior School.

The day offers a range of opportunities for students to participate, whether through competitive swimming events, novelty activities, House challenges, or by supporting and encouraging their peers. We encourage all students to become involved and contribute to the positive atmosphere that makes the carnival such an enjoyable occasion.

As a normal school day and an important whole-school event, attendance at the Swimming Carnival is expected for all students.

Long Lunch Class Basket Donations

Help make this year’s Pulteney Foundation Long Lunch silent auction a wonderful success by contributing to your child’s class basket.
This year, supporting your class is even easier. Families can:
  • Make a monetary donation online, allowing the organising committee to curate beautiful hampers; or
  • Donate an item, with collection baskets available in all ELC and Junior School classrooms.
Every contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated and helps raise valuable funds for our School community.
Looking for inspiration? Popular basket themes include gourmet kitchen, gardening, BBQ & entertaining, children’s gifts, premium tea & coffee, chocolates and beauty products.
