Middle School, Term 1 Week 8 2026
It has been another engaging and productive period in the Middle School, with students demonstrating commitment, school spirit, and a strong focus on their learning.
NAPLAN Engagement
We extend our thanks to our Year 7 and Year 9 students for their positive engagement and focus during NAPLAN over the past week. The manner in which students approached these assessments reflects their growing confidence and responsibility as learners.
There is still an opportunity this week for any students who were absent to complete missed tests. We appreciate the continued support of families in ensuring students are well-prepared and present for these sessions.
Head of the River
Last week saw a vibrant display of Navy Blue at the Head of the River, with many of our Middle School students attending to support our rowing crews. The enthusiasm, pride, and energy shown throughout the day were a wonderful reflection of our community spirit.
Congratulations to our rowers and coaches for their dedication, perseverance, and outstanding efforts across the season. Your commitment to both training and competition is to be commended.
Learning Conferences
Tomorrow evening marks our second round of Learning Conferences. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with teachers and discuss your child’s progress, growth, and next steps in learning.
Please ensure you check your scheduled times carefully, noting whether your conference is online or face-to-face in the Graham Learning Centre.
ACTivate: Supporting Learning Growth
This Thursday, during ACTivate, all Middle School students will participate in a session led by our Head of Teaching and Learning, Mr McCall. The session will focus on understanding assessment feedback and how students can use this to inform their next steps in learning.
Students will also explore practical strategies for using their diary effectively to manage time, organise commitments, and support their overall learning.
Thank You
Thank you to our Middle School students for the way you continue to engage with your learning, support one another, and contribute positively to our community. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are proud of the way you represent the values of Pulteney each day.
