Welcome to Year 2 , 2026!

We are looking forward to being part of your child’s learning journey this year.

To stay up to date with important information throughout the year, we strongly encourage you to download the Pulteney Parent App and subscribe to Year 2.

Books and Stationery

  • Once your books and stationery arrive please check you have everything. You can contact the supplier directly if anything is missing.
  • To help your child stay organised, please ensure everything is clearly labelled.
  • This year, we ask that exercise books not be covered at home, as we have created subject-specific covers for the children to use. If books have already been covered, that’s completely fine. We will help your child add the class cover.
  • large soft pencil case is recommended for storing spare stationery items (pencils, pens, erasers, etc.). Pencil pots will be supplied on tables for everyday use.
  • Families are welcome to drop off books and stationery on the afternoon before school begins on Tuesday 27th January, between 2- 3pm. Teachers will be available during this time if you need any assistance.

Uniform

Children will be required to wear their PE uniform on two days each week. We will confirm the specific sports days as soon as our timetable is finalised.
On all other days, children should wear their formal uniform, unless a co-curricular activity requires otherwise.
Please ensure your child has a named Pulteney play hat.
These must be worn outside during recess and lunch in Terms 1 and 4, and in Terms 2 and 4 when the UV rating is 3 or above.

Please visit the Pulteney Uniform Shop for opening times, seasonal uniform guides, and to purchase any required items.

Brain Food, Recess andLunch

  • Please pack a healthy snack for your child’s morning Brain Food break in a small, named container, separate from their recess and lunch. This snack will be placed in a basket when they arrive at school and could include fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, crackers, or dried fruit. Please no processed foods. Children are also welcome to bring a healthy snack for an afternoon Brain Break if needed. Please note that Pulteney is a nut aware school, so no nuts or nut products are to be brought to school.
  • We do not have access to a fridge to store your child’s lunch, so please ensure that an ice bag or freezer block is packed within your child’s lunch box to keep their food fresh and cool.
  • We are also unable to heat food, so suggest either packing hot food in a thermos or ordering a hot meal from the tuck shop if you wish your child to eat something warm for lunch.
  • Please send a named drink bottle containing water for your child to drink during class time. Please note, we have a water only policy at Pulteney.

Tuck Orders

  • Children may bring their own lunch and recess items from home or order through Qkr! App.
  • To download the app go to the Parent App and visit links
  • All online orders must be placed before 8:30 am on the day.

  • Alternatively, you may choose to drop your child at the Symonds Place ‘Kiss and Drop’ from 8.15 – 8.30am.
  • Classroom learning will commence at 8.30am promptly. Please ensure your child is at school on time to start their day.

AFTERNOON

  • The school day ends at 3.20pm.
  • Children will be taken downstairs to the undercroft. Parents and caregivers are welcome to enter the courtyard (undercroft area) and collect their child from their teacher.
  • It is important that children say goodbye to their class teacher each day so that we know your child has been safely delivered to you.
  • Children attending OSHC will be collected and taken to the OSHC building.
  • Children not collected from the designated area will be walked to the blue boxes in the outside playground and remain with the teacher on duty until 3.40pm.
