Junior School, Term 4 Week 4 2026

2027 Booklist orders – Reception to Year 6

For the 2027 school year, Pulteney is introducing a new approach to stationery and booklist orders for all Junior School students (Reception to Year 6), designed to make preparing for the new school year simpler and more convenient for families.

This change will see the School coordinate the purchase and delivery of all required Junior School stationery through Campion.

This means families of students in Junior School will no longer need to place individual stationery orders, arrange home delivery or bring stationery supplies into School. All required stationery will be ordered centrally and delivered directly to Pulteney, ready for students at the beginning of the school year.

The cost of stationery will be included as a Junior School stationery levy on families’ School fee accounts, removing the need for separate purchases. We anticipate that centralised purchasing of Junior School stationery will provide cost savings for families, while also offering a more sustainable approach by better managing stationery quantities and reducing unnecessary supplies and waste.

No action is required from Junior School families. The School will manage all stationery orders and delivery arrangements for 2027.

Pulteney Chinese Singing Club Invited to Perform at Australian Voice Chinese Singing Competition 2026! 🎶

We are delighted to share some exciting news! Our Pulteney Grammar School Chinese Singing Club has been invited to perform at the Australian Voice – Chinese Singing Competition 2026, taking place at Elder Hall, the University of Adelaide, on Sunday, 15 November.

We are also thrilled to announce that our students will be receiving prizes at the event in recognition of their achievements. This wonderful recognition celebrates their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm, as well as their growing confidence and passion for learning Chinese.

The Australian Voice – Chinese Singing Competition is an annual cultural event held in Adelaide, organised by the Australia-China Cultural Promotion Association (ACCPA) in collaboration with local educational and cultural organisations.

Our dedicated Chinese Singing Club students have been practising enthusiastically every Friday, developing their singing skills, Chinese pronunciation and confidence in performing. It has been wonderful to see their commitment, teamwork and positive attitudes throughout their preparations!

This special invitation provides a fantastic opportunity for our young singers to share their love of Chinese music, celebrate their achievements and proudly represent Pulteney Grammar School in the wider community.

Year 5-6 Transition

On Friday 13 November, Year 5s will be returning from camp at about 3.00pm. From 2.15pm that afternoon, Year 5 parents are invited to attend an information session in the Chapel regarding Year 6. This session will cover information regarding the Bring Your Own Device Laptop program and the Canberra camp experience.

This session will conclude in time for Year 5 camp pick up.

Nature Market

On Friday 20 November we will have our final Nature Market for the year. This semester, the Reception – Year 2 children, and the Year 6s, will be selling their items. Year. The market will operate between 8.45am and 10.00am. One of the key ideas behind the Nature Market is sustainability.

We know that in the past there have been families who have sold products such as sauces and preserves etc. If you would like to be involved, please email Kass Woods at Kass.woods@pulteney.sa.edu.au

We ask that any stall requests reflect the theme of sustainability and recognise that most customers on the day will be children.

The Junior School Nature Markets provide an opportunity for the children to be involved in an event that promotes not only sustainability, but entrepreneurial skills and an understanding of the basic financial skills of selling items for a profit or a loss. The Junior School Nature Market is also an opportunity for the children to delve deeper into making and designing a product that they can make and sell. Products will be made from reusable and sustainable items. With the cost associated with the products kept to a minimum.

As the Junior School Nature Market is an opportunity for the children to raise money for a worthy cause, children are able to bring items from home to sell on the day, as well as what they sell from their class.

Examples of items to be brought in from home:

•              Propagated plants.
•              Home-made items – please ensure items are clearly labelled with ingredients and do not contain nuts.
•              Home grown produce, such as fruit and vegetables.
•              No products with excessive sugar are to be brought in, such as lollies, or drinks.
