Junior School, Term 4 Week 1 2025
Welcome to Term 4. This will be a very busy and rewarding 8 week term, full of excursions, performances and transition events. I have no doubt the children will enjoy the vas array of activities and events and well and truly need a summer vacation at the end of it all. As we move into the summer months it is important that hats are at school as these are expected to be worn at playtimes and during sport lessons.
Year 6 2026 Information Session
Our Year 5 cohort return from camp on Friday. To coincide with this, we are hosting an information session for 2026 Year 6 families to discuss the transition from iPads to student owned laptops, Year 6 Jackets and the Year 6 Canberra Trip.
This information session will be in the Chapel at 2.15pm on 17 October. The Year 5s will return from camp at about 2.45pm ready for collection after the session.
Shrek Jr
In Week 4 the Year 5 and 6 cohort will be performing Shrek Jr the Musical. Mrs McGill and the teachers have been working very hard to prepare and the standard of rehearsals has been very high.
Evening performances will on the Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 of November. Tomorrow, all Year 5 and 6 families will receive a link to indicate if their child requires supervision between school and the evening performance. A small meal will be provided for anyone staying so it is important for catering numbers that the link is completed.
Upcoming Excursions
The Year 4 children will be visiting the Adelaide Central Market to culminate our learning around sustainability whilst also considering that locally grown produce is better for the environment, which we will be learning about this term. The children will be able to walk around the Adelaide Central Market in a small group with a teacher or parent volunteer. We are asking the children to bring no more than $10 on the day, so they can have the experience of buying some local produce. The children will be able to eat their produce when they get back to school or they can take it home.
Date: Friday 21 November 2025
