Nature Market

Year 3-5 classes will set up stalls in June, whilst the R-2 classes will set stalls up in November. The Market will operate between 8.45am and 10.00am. One of the key ideas behind the Nature Market is sustainability.  We know that in the past there have been families who have sold products such as sauces and preserves etc. If you would like to be involved, please email Kass Woods at Kass.woods@pulteney.sa.edu.au

We ask that any stall requests reflect the theme of sustainability and recognise that most customers on the day will be children.

Examples of items to be brought in from home:

  • Propagated plants.
  • Home-made items – please ensure items are clearly labelled with ingredients and do not contain nuts.
  • Home grown produce, such as fruit and vegetables.
  • No products with excessive sugar are to be brought in, such as lollies, or drinks.

Founders’ Day Assembly

Founded in 1847, Pulteney is the oldest school in Adelaide and has a rich and deeply valued history that continues to shape the life of the School today. Our Founders Day Assembly this week provides an important opportunity for students to reflect on this history and the values that continue to guide our community. The presence of Old Scholars adds something special to the occasion, reminding students of the strong and lasting connections that exist within the Pulteney community.

The Assembly helps foster a sense of belonging and encourages students to see themselves as part of the ongoing story of the School, with an important role to play in shaping its future. It is also a valuable reminder of the importance of honouring tradition while continuing to contribute positively to the life and growth of the School.

Attendance at the Founders Day Assembly is essential, and students are required to wear full formal uniform, including their blazer.

National Reconciliation Week at Pulteney – Week 7

As part of National Reconciliation Week, students from ELC to Year 12 will contribute to a whole-school paper chain project symbolising our shared commitment to reconciliation. Each class will create a link using the colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags, with students adding their name or a message of reflection.

Badge making will also take place in the Quad during recess and lunch on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 June, with a gold coin donation available for those who wish to contribute.

Key events include:

• Senior School Assembly – Tuesday 2 June, 8.45am (special guest speaker)
• Middle School Assembly – Thursday 4 June, 8.45am
• Junior School Chapel Service – Friday 5 June (paper chain display and celebration)

We look forward to coming together as a community to take part in this important week.

Timing of Activities

Please note that while National Reconciliation Week officially begins earlier through Reconciliation Australia, Pulteney’s whole-school activities will commence from Monday 1 June. This timing allows our community to fully engage in both Founders’ Day and the School Musical Production in Week 6.
