da Vinci Decathlon 2026
I have had the pleasure of training the Year 6, 7 and 9 students this year for the da Vinci Decathlon which was held at St. Peter’s Girls’ College this term. A big thank you to Jacqui Lee and Erin Scheurleer for taking the teams and supervising them each day. The teams consisted of the following members:
Year 6
Chloe Liu-Kan, Anna Lagana, Ahana Sinha, Daniel Maddern, Ruby Budimir, Seb Michael, Shanfeng and Anya Liang.
Year 7
Martin Ma, Eleanor Knapp, William Hubrechsen-Yung, James Pulford, Edwina Cannon, Justin Zhou, Charles Rogers-Kang and Isaac Willson.
Year 9
Luca Kostarelis, Jordan Bollinger, Seb Llewellyn, Katherine Ren, Ishaan Idak, Lucy Jones, Jayden Pham and Sam Clarke.
There are ten components to the competition: Mathematics, English, Science, Code Breaking, Engineering, Creative Producers, Art and Poetry, Cartography and Legacy. Students were selected to participate in the competition based on their strengths in some or all of these categories.
The Year 7 Pulteney team achieved 3rd place out of 25 schools! The Year 7 team also achieved 2nd place in English, Engineering, Art and Poetry, Legacy and Science.
The Year 9 team came 3rd in Creative Producers and 2nd in Engineering and Cartography.
All teams performed exceptionally well, worked collaboratively, and represented Pulteney with pride.
I would like to thank the teams for their preparation and commitment for this challenging event.
