Pulteney Grammar Welcomes Students from Sister School in Shandong
Last week, Pulteney Grammar School had the pleasure of hosting 13 visiting students and 2 staff members from our sister school, the Shandong SDU Fundamental Education Group. The exchange programme offered a meaningful cultural experience for both the visiting students and the Pulteney community.
During their stay, the students participated in regular classes, explored Australian culture, and made new friendships. Highlights for many was constructing a robot car with Mr Ranieri and kicking a footy during lunch breaks. The group also enjoyed a special excursion to Cleland Wildlife Park, where they experienced some of South Australia’s unique wildlife up close.
Our dedicated Language Ambassadors played a key role in making the visitors feel welcome. They organised an engaging welcome session and hosted a tasting event featuring a variety of classic Australian snacks, which was met with curiosity and enthusiasm from the guests.
Pulteney students acted as buddies throughout the week, helping to guide and support their new friends both in and out of the classroom. A special thank you to all the host families, whose warmth and hospitality provided the visiting students with a memorable and comfortable stay.
This exchange has proven to be a mutually enriching experience. Both the Pulteney and Shandong students gained cultural insights, developed language skills, and formed connections that will last well beyond the visit.
We extend our sincere thanks to all students, parents, and staff members who contributed to the success of this week. Your efforts have helped create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
