Sport – Senior and Middle School

Congratulations to Mischa Crichton who has been selected for the U15 South Australian Metropolitan basketball team. She will represent SA in Melbourne early in 2023.

Nominations due this Friday

Nominations for 2023 cocurricular sport was sent via email to families on Wednesday 16 November 2022. We strongly encourage all students to come and give one or more of the many sports on offer a go, regardless of expertise or experience.

Sport is regularly promoted by our departing students as something they identify as a vehicle to make connections with their peers, create a community and assist them in their academic capacity.

It is important for our planning that the deadline for submissions be completed by Friday 2 December 2022.

Middle School Boys’ Tennis

All tennis had finished prior to this week except for the Middle School Boys who played Concordia. It was a fabulous morning with many parents enjoying the sunshine supporting their sons.

Pulteney only lost one set with an overall finishing score of:

Pulteney Grammar 9 Sets, 55 games defeated Concordia 1 set, 16 games

Cricket – Congratulations

Pulteney’s Year 9/10 State-Wide team played on the 23 November 2022 at West Beach. The team defeated Woodcroft in their opening game of the day. This placed them in the Grand Final against Prince Alfred College. Pulteney opened the batting with PAC restricting Pulteney’s capacity to make runs.  Pulteney returned to the School coming second in the Statewide Cup for 2022. Outstanding achievement and commitment by all students.

Cricket for Term 4, 2022 has drawn to an end after a competitive and solid term. From what we have shown this term, we have some exciting times ahead in the Pulteney Cricket Program. Our Second XI finished with 8 consecutive wins.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in the program. We would like to thank Ben Johnswood and his coaches for their time, energy, and enthusiasm in developing our cricketers. To John Taylor, thank you for your time and support not only in coaching the Second XI through a very victorious season but also in ensuring we can field teams each week.
