Week 5: Year 12 Exams
Our Year 12 students are nearing completion of their final exams, marking the end of a significant journey. They have shown great effort, resilience, and dedication throughout this period and as they reach the finish line, they can be incredibly proud of all they have accomplished. Well done to each of our Year 12s on this significant achievement.
Wednesday 12 & Thursday 13 November: Year 10 & 11 Drama Productions
The Year 10 + 11 Drama productions open tomorrow night, running for two evenings. The Year 10s will first stage Lockdown, written by Douglas Craven. In this dramatic piece, the cast become students and staff in the middle of a lockdown in a school classroom. With little to no contact to the outside world, tensions rise.
After a brief interval, the Year 11s will present the comedy Motives to Murder: The Idiot‘s Guide to Becoming a Mafia Boss, an original piece written by the class exploring deception, death and double-crosses.
Tickets are now available for you to secure via Humanitix HERE; they are free of charge for students (code has been emailed) and five dollars for general admission.
Friday 14 November – PE Day
On Friday 14 November, Pulteney will again be celebrating its annual PE Day to coincide with the Middle School and Senior School transition day. Students in ELC to Year 11 are able to wear their PE uniform, and are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite sporting team attire and colours to celebrate healthy lifestyles, sport and physical activity.
Tuesday 25 November – Tuesday 2 December: Year 11 Exams
Year 11 students will commence their final exams on Tuesday 25 November with Monday 24 November being SWOTVAC. Year 11 exams provide invaluable preparation for Year 12 by helping students build essential study habits, manage exam pressure, and identify areas for improvement. This experience sets a solid foundation for the demands of their final school year. Today, Head of Teaching and Learning 7-12, Mr John McCall, spoke with students about what they can expect during this week and answered a series of student questions. A follow up session with Mr McCall will take place next week

Thursday 27 November – Speech Night 2025
Attendance at Speech Night is compulsory for all Year 9, 10, 11 and 12 students, held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
Students must be dressed in formal winter uniform on the evening and are asked to arrive prior to 6.15pm. On arrival, non-prize winning students are to make their way to the foyer of Halls F&G, where they will be marked off the roll and then seated in their Houses, being supervised by members of staff, before the commencement of the ceremony at 7.00pm.
The evening is expected to conclude by 9.15pm and students can be picked up from then. Please arrange a suitable location for pickup with your child. If you child is unable to attend the evening, an email to their Head of House must be forwarded to negotiate their non-attendance. We ask that families please make arrangements around co-curricular commitments and part time work to prioritise this important event in the School’s calendar. There will be no exams on the day of or the next morning after Speech Night to accommodate students’ attendance.

Parents of prize-winning students and Year 12 parents have been emailed information directly to book their tickets to attend. Prize winning students and all Year 12 students will be required to attend a rehearsal during the day and these details were contained in the email.
Friday, Week 5: Osmond St Cafe
The Osmond St Café will reopen this Friday. Year 10 Creative Industries students will be selling coffees and other products for you to enjoy. The Small Jazz Ensemble Please come along and enjoy a hot drink, some conversation and support our students. I hope to see you there.
