Jesus Christ Superstar – Cast/Crew Parents

At last Friday’s rehearsal, we had two special guests zoom in online to chat with our cast and crew. Rob Mills and Amy Lehpamer are both professional Musical Theatre stars and are currently the lead roles in “& Juliet” in Melbourne. They have both also performed in different productions of “Jesus Christ Superstar” during their career, with Rob playing Jesus and Amy playing Judas. The knowledge, experience and advice they were able to pass onto our students was incredible, and I am sure will only enhance our production even more!

The production-week schedule comes into effect this Friday 19 May. Please make sure you are fully aware of the movements of your children throughout this busy period of time. Any concerns please contact me directly.

Ticket Update – 85% sold!

Please click here to purchase your tickets! They are limited so please do not leave it too late to get yours!

If you would like to immerse yourself in your very own “Last Supper” experience, there are also pre-show platters available to order now! Platters cannot be purchased on the night, and are pre-order only with orders closing COB this Friday 19 May.

TASA Award Nomination for Mamma Mia

Once again, we have been nominated for the prestigious Theatre Association of South Australia ‘Best Youth Musical Production Award 2022’ for “Mamma Mia”. As you would recall, we won the 2020/21 award for “Matilda” (2021) and we are so excited to be nominated again for 2022. This is a great reward for the efforts the students made in getting “Mamma Mia” to the standard it was. Congratulations to all involved. I feel like being nominated is like winning!

ANZAC Tour Review

Having now been back in Adelaide for a couple of weeks, it is time to review and reflect on the tour to find some learnings so we can deliver an even better opportunity for the students on the next tour in 2026. An MS form will be sent to all touring students this week for their feedback. We also ask parents to send any of their reflections of the tour, including the pre-tour meetings, to me, jonathon.rice@pulteney.sa.edu.au, as your feedback is appreciated.

As mentioned prior to our departure, we did have to purchase some additional baggage capacity at some cost. I am pleased to confirm that most of this cost has been allocated to Angas Travel, with the old scholars association making a generous contribution along with the Principals budget and music budget. This leaves an amount of $60.00 per travelling student to be charged to school accounts over the coming month.

Over the next few weeks some of our videos will begin to appear on Facebook. Please view these and re-post to your family and friends.

Founders Day

An email will be sent to parents this week to provide consent for their child to perform at Founder’s Day Service on Monday 29 May. Performing groups are the Grammarphones Choir, Senior Concert Choir and Senior Strings. This year, the Founders Day Service will be held at St Peter’s Cathedral, North Adelaide.

Parents, please download Canvas prior to Learning Conferences.
Canvas is one the most innovative and adaptable platforms in the LMS landscape, providing a safe online environment for us to design personalised Pulteney courses. Canvas enables students, parents, and teachers to share and exchange detailed information about the teaching and learning process as it develops for each student. Importantly, it serves as the primary platform for reporting your child’s progress, aligning with the continuous reporting strategy implemented this year.
