Welcoming new members to the Pulteney Board of Governors

Pulteney Grammar School is delighted to welcome Mr David Jemmett and Ms Amanda Grocock as the newest members of the School’s Board of Governors, commencing January 2026.

Mr David Jemmett

David Jemmett brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience across the agriculture, construction, and manufacturing sectors in Australia and New Zealand. He is currently General Manager, Grain Storage & Handling at Ahrens, and previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Southern Stockfeeds, where he oversaw the company’s transformation and significant growth.

An accomplished board director, David served as Chair of the Board at Girton Grammar School from 2018 to 2023, where he led major governance reforms, including principal succession and constitutional renewal to strengthen board succession planning. He has also held multiple directorships across industry bodies and private enterprises, refining his expertise in strategic oversight, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Holding a Bachelor of Applied Science (Agriculture) from the University of Melbourne and a Senior Executive MBA from Melbourne Business School, David is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Having recently returned to South Australia, he looks forward to contributing his governance experience, strategic insight, and passion for education to the ongoing success of Pulteney Grammar School.

Ms Amanda Grocock

Amanda Grocock is an experienced executive and board director with more than 20 years’ leadership spanning governance, finance, strategy, education, and community engagement. She currently serves as Director of Corporate Services at the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), providing strategic leadership across governance, risk, HR, marketing, IT, and operations.

Amanda has held several prominent board and advisory roles, including Chair of Writers SA, Director of the Australia Day Council of South Australia, and member of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Business and Economic Development Advisory Committee. Her earlier executive roles include Chief Executive Officer of Master Landscapers of SA and General Manager of the Rundle Mall Management Authority, where she led major strategic and community engagement initiatives.

A passionate advocate for education, Amanda is an old scholar of St Peter’s Girls’ School and holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Commerce (Management and Marketing), and Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She brings a strong commitment to organisational sustainability, community connection, and the enduring values of Anglican education.

We warmly welcome David and Amanda to the Pulteney community and look forward to the expertise, leadership, and perspective they will bring to the Board of Governors as we continue to advance the School’s strategic vision and enduring values.
